ErgoLabVN started from a simple observation: premium ergonomic chairs exist in HCMC, but the only honest way to get one is to pay full retail. We think there's a better way.

How ErgoLabVN started

The idea came from a simple frustration. We were looking for proper ergonomic chairs for our own workspace in Ho Chi Minh City. A new Steelcase or Herman Miller from an authorized dealer runs ₫20–33 million. That's a real number — three to five months of rent for a lot of people.

At the same time, we kept seeing decent used chairs disappear from corporate offices — offices upgrading, offices downsizing, coworking spaces turning over inventory. The supply was there. The problem was no one was doing the work to properly inspect, restore, and certify them.

So we started doing it ourselves. We sourced a batch of Steelcase Think chairs from a HCMC office, took them apart, cleaned them properly, replaced what needed replacing, and tested every adjustment. The result was a chair that felt — and performed — like new.

"If we're going to sell a refurbished chair with a warranty, it has to be a chair we'd buy ourselves."

Vietnam's import regulations on used furniture mean there's no foreign refurbisher that can undercut the local market. That gives us a real, structural advantage — and a real obligation to do this right.

We're starting small and intentional. Right now we have certified chairs inspected, serviced, and ready to go. We're sourcing more. Every chair we sell comes with a 12-month warranty and free delivery within HCMC.

This is a business built on the premise that good work chairs shouldn't require a luxury budget — and that a properly serviced, certified chair performs better than most people expect.

Corporate offices upgrade their furniture. Coworking spaces turn over. Startups expand and consolidate. HCMC is a city with a constant stream of quality used furniture — it just needed someone to do the work of certifying it properly.

Because they're worth refurbishing

These chairs are engineered to last 15–20 years with proper maintenance. The mechanisms, the mesh, the frames — they hold up. That's the whole premise of the business: buy something built to last, restore it properly, and sell it at a price that makes sense.

Our refurbishment process

We don't clean and flip. Every chair goes through a documented process before it carries the ErgoLabVN certification.

Sourcing

We source direct from corporate offices, tech companies, and workspace liquidations in HCMC. We know what model it is, how old it is, and where it came from before we buy it.

Intake inspection

Before any work begins, we do a full assessment: frame integrity, mechanism function, cylinder condition, mesh and upholstery. Chairs that don't pass intake don't enter the pipeline.

Full disassembly

We take apart every chair completely. Back, seat, tilt mechanism, gas cylinder, five-star base, casters — all removed and treated individually.

Deep clean

Every surface is cleaned and sanitized — mesh, fabric, plastic, and metal. Casters are cleaned individually. We use the same standard we'd want for ourselves.

Parts replacement

Any worn or compromised part — gas cylinder, armrest pads, glides, tilt mechanism — is replaced before the chair moves forward. We don't certify chairs with tired parts.

Function certification

Final check: every adjustment is tested and confirmed. Lumbar depth and height, seat height range, tilt tension, armrest positions — all verified before the chair is listed for sale.

The 12-month warranty

Every ErgoLabVN chair carries a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery. Here's what that means in practice.

Mechanical parts covered

Gas cylinder, tilt mechanism, armrest adjustments, and all other mechanical components are covered for 12 months.

We fix or replace

If something stops working within the warranty period, we'll repair it or replace the part. No arguments, no fees.

Free pickup & redelivery

Warranty claims include free pickup from and redelivery to your location within HCMC. No hidden logistics costs.

Direct contact

Warranty claims go directly to us via Zalo or WhatsApp. You talk to the people who certified the chair, not a support queue.
